OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Former presidential candidate Bob Kerrey has penned a fundraising letter for fellow Democrat and state Sen. Tom White's probable run for Congress.
Kerrey, a former Nebraska governor and U.S. senator, issues sharp criticism of the sitting 2nd District congressman, Republican Lee Terry.
Kerrey says too many politicians in Washington don't ask tough questions and that "Omaha's current congressman fits right in."
Kerrey also says Terry and others are more interested in political posturing than finding solutions to the country's ills.
In the letter, Kerrey asks supporters to donate to White's campaign.
White has not formally announced his candidacy, but he has formed an exploratory committee and has been aggressively raising money for a possible run.
